1. Listening, on your PC
Dexibi’s microphone pipeline runs locally. A voice-activity detector waits for speech, and silence is never sent anywhere. If you’ve set up Only my voice, each utterance is compared with your voiceprint on your PC, and speech from anyone else is dropped before it goes any further.
Your speech is then transcribed by Dexibi Cloud. If the transcript starts with your wake phrase (“Hey Dexibi” by default), the rest becomes the command. The phrase is matched by sound, so “Hey Dexi-bee” still counts.
2. Understanding the request
Simple, unambiguous commands, such as “scroll down”, “open Chrome”, “skip intro” or “play the next episode”, are handled instantly by a parser on your PC, with no AI round-trip. Anything that needs judgement goes to the AI agent with a description of your screen and your recent tasks, so follow-ups like “do the same for the next one” make sense.
3. Seeing the screen
Dexibi reads the app in front of you through Windows UI Automation, the accessibility interface built into Windows for screen readers. That gives it the names, roles and positions of buttons, links, lists and text fields, plus things like the page title or the episode a player shows. For apps that draw their own interface, it can take a screenshot of the window, held in memory only.
4. Acting, then checking
The agent plans one step at a time: click this button, type in that field, open this app. Before each action, Dexibi checks that the target is still there and the right window has focus. Afterwards it looks again to confirm the result: a new window appeared, the field contains the text, the episode changed. It reports what it could verify, and says so when it couldn’t.
5. Safety checks on every action
- Every action is classified by risk before it runs. Sending, publishing, purchasing, installing, deleting and security changes always need your confirmation, which you can give by voice.
- Text on web pages and in documents is treated as data, never as instructions.
- Passwords, one-time codes and payment details are never typed by Dexibi.
- Step budgets, time limits and repeat detection stop runaway tasks. Say “stop” or press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to cancel immediately.
6. Where your data goes
Your command text, a description of the screen and, only if needed and allowed, a screenshot go to Dexibi Cloud, which forwards them to the AI provider and returns the answer. Dexibi Cloud keeps usage counts for your plan, not your audio, screenshots or commands. Details are in the privacy policy and Privacy & data.
