Using Dexibi
Only my voice
A voiceprint built on your PC makes Dexibi ignore every voice but yours.
Set it up
- Open Settings → Voice & microphone → Only my voice.
- Choose Set up my voice and read the six phrases in the styles shown: normal, quiet, quick and so on.
- Use Test to check a sample is recognised.
How it works
Dexibi turns each phrase into a voiceprint, a compact numerical summary of your voice, using a speaker model that runs entirely on your PC. When you speak, it compares what it hears with your voiceprint and drops anything that doesn’t match before transcription. It also adapts a little as you use it, so it keeps recognising you as your voice varies.
Strictness
- Relaxed
- Accepts more variation. Use it if Dexibi sometimes ignores you (a cold, whispering, a different mic).
- Balanced
- Recommended for most rooms.Default: Balanced
- Strict
- Rejects more look-alike voices. Use it in busy households or with the TV on often.
Privacy
Your voiceprint is stored only on your computer, encrypted with your Windows account. It is never uploaded. Delete it any time from the same screen.
Note: speaker verification is a convenience filter, not a security lock. A recording of your voice or a very similar voice can sometimes pass.
