Using Dexibi

Ways to talk to Dexibi

Hands-free, push-to-talk or typed: use whichever suits the moment.

Hands-free

Say the wake phrase and your request together: “Hey Dexibi, skip intro”. You can also say the wake phrase alone, pause, then give the command. Hands-free needs the wake phrase turned on; see Wake word & hands-free.

Push-to-talk

Press Ctrl+Alt+O, speak, then pause. Dexibi acts when you stop talking (after the End of speech silence, 0.7 seconds by default). Change the shortcut in Shortcuts.

Typing

Click the gold mark to open the toolbar, type what you’d say, and press Enter.

Answering questions and approving actions

When Dexibi needs a choice (“Which one: the first or the second?”) or a confirmation (“This sends the email. Send it?”), answer by voice: “yes”, “go ahead”, “no”, “the second one”. Dexibi listens for your answer right away; there’s no need to say the wake phrase again. You can also click the options in the panel. To require a click for every approval, turn off Approve by voice in Safety.

Interrupting

Say “stop”, “wait” or “be quiet”, press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, or click the stop button. Dexibi stops speaking and cancels the current task. You can also just start talking over it to change what you asked.

Conversation mode

With Conversation mode on (Wake word settings), you can keep talking after Dexibi replies or asks something, without repeating the wake phrase, for the length of the Follow-up window (7 seconds by default).
